Highly popular attractions are the big cats, including the zoo’s most recent additions Caesar and Cleopatra, who are believed to be Barbary Lions. This species is extinct in the wild and less than 100 survive in captivity – it’s a fascinating chance to see a couple of the rarest animals on the planet.

Kids absolutely love the petting zoo where they can hand-feed the deer, goats and llamas, and in so doing learn to appreciate animals and have a better understanding of and admiration for the natural world.
