The film festival brings noteworthy regional and international independent films to the KC metropolitan area. From belly laughers, thrillers and comedies to captivating documentaries, there is something in this amazing bumper crop of big movies that will entertain a variety of movie goers.
This year the Kansas International Film Festival will be showcasing studio films such as "Take Shelter," "We Need to Talk about Kevin," "Like Crazy" and "Dirty Girl." Along with these films will be a mixture of films from around the world. The festival also boasts 20 or so filmmakers that attend the screening followed by a question and answer session.
This year your vote counts! There is an AUDIENCE and JURY AWARD given to the top Documentary and Narrative feature with the theatrical screening of the AUDIENCE winners beginning on October 14th.
