Seasoned chef Eric Cornwell has taken the principles of the classic deli, added a flash of his culinary expertise and the result is The Real Dill Delicatessen – everything you’d expect from a top-notch deli but with something a little bit extra. It’s a ‘Deli Plus’ if you like.
The Real Dill Deli has all the regular deli staples – fresh cut sandwiches bursting with premium meats and veggies – but thanks to his 8-years experience as a fine dining chef, Eric has turned his menu into something far outclassing a normal deli bill of fare.
For example the Cran-Apple Chicken Salad Sandwich has a heap of creamy chicken salad over cranberry sauce and sliced gala apples topped with smoked gouda on toasted wheat bread – not exactly your average deli sandwich! And the Manhattan Sandwich has sliced corned beef with pastrami or turkey, melted Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing on grilled rye bread – fantastic.
The salads sound like they belong in a fine dining restaurant too, but come in deli-sized portions and deli prices. The Cobb Wedge Salad with crisp iceberg lettuce, diced roma tomato, boiled egg, crispy bacon, sliced avocado and creamy blue cheese is a meal in itself!
And we haven’t even mentioned the breakfast menu yet! Eggs, choice of meats, delicately seasoned home fries, cinnamon French toast, vanilla buttermilk pancakes and freshly sliced fruit salads – it’s the early bird’s dream!
