$10 for $20 Worth of Food & Drinks @ The Westy Grille & Pub

Outstanding food, a stellar collection of beers, relaxed settings and neighborhood prices… that’s how we like our bars at Crowdsavings, so we were delighted by the recent opening of The Westy Grille & Pub.

Located in the West Central District, The Westy finally brings the region it’s own bar/eatery, so the locals don’t have to haul over to the beach or downtown for a decent place to eat. It also gives out-of-towners the perfect place to get some tip-top food (and an ice cold one of course!) after a day at the beaches, without having to endure the hustle and bustle of Gulf Blvd.

So what’s on the menu? Plenty of hearty favorites mixed with house specialties and lots of fresh seafood. It’s always a joy to see smoked fish spread among the appetizers, but the bacon wrapped dates proved to be a wonderful – and delicious – surprise. Garden fresh salads, hand-crafted burgers and homemade sandwiches will keep even the hungriest diner happy, but special mention need go to the Caribbean BBQ chicken and shrimp and scallop mixed grill entrees. To wash everything down there’s a fantastic selection of beers from around the world, including Chimay and Magic Hat.

Just minutes from treasure Island and St Pete, Madeira and Reddington Beaches, whenever you’re over on the west side of town, be sure to stop by The Westy… you’ll be glad you did.
