Ricky P's Po Boy Shop
The Louisiana Po’ Boy… named during the Great Depression and despite the talking heads on the news equating today’s economic climate with that of the 1930’s, there’s certainly nothing to be depressed about with a place like Ricky P’s to sink your teeth into!
Masterminded by New Orleans native Rick Parsons, Ricky P’s Po’ Boy Shop has quickly become the eatery for authentic Cajun-style specialties with all the zest and flavor of the Big Easy. ‘Blue Plate Specials’ such as Jambalaya, gumbo, and red beans and rice all do Ricky P’s justice, but it’s the po’ boys that are the #1 crowd pleasers.
Classic shrimp, oyster, and catfish po’ boys vie for supremacy with muffalettas, cochon de lait, and Ricky P’s fabulous sloppy roast beef po’ boy. The place itself might be small in size, but it’s massive on taste, and now with a second location opening inside the Bob Lee Tire Co. just outside downtown St Pete, there’s twice as much flavor to go around!
Featured on Fox 13’s Good Morning Tampa Bay, as well as Channel 44, Ricky P’s was also voted Best Po’ Boy Shop by Tampa Bay Magazine.
Laura Reily of the St. Petersburg Times, also wrote "Indulge in the delicious, authentic flavors of New Orleans at Ricky P's. New Orleans native Rick Parsons serves up the flavors of his hometown at his namesake sandwich shop, Ricky P’s. The po’boys, muffulettas and red beans and rice are among the staples that shine."
So for the next best thing to being in New Orleans, head over to Ricky P's Po Boys!
