It was fantastic! Authentic Maine decor reminded me of everything from blueberries to Acadia National Park, the staff was friendly and competent and the lobster was to die for! They used fresh rolls (not the hotdog buns that they tend to use in actual Maine), big chunks of buttery lobster and big plump shrimp that tasted like they were swimming in cold Atlantic waters that morning! It was a long drive from St Pete but we will definitely be back!

If you like wonderful, fresh Maine Lobster, you have to try Monstah Lobstah. I love going here, the owner is very friendly and is wonderful to his customers. The seafood is great, and the place is not fancy but very quaint. I've taken many friends and family members here and we've always gotten a great meal at a fair price. Thomas said
This place has the best cold water seafood south of Massachusetts. The fish and chips fish is HADDOCK--an expensive species and the same as you would get in London. The Lobster rolls are FANTASTIC--never had better! They don't always have table service, but you can feel free to pour yourself another beer in this laid back place. In fact, I think they might prefer it if you did... did I mention that the beer is free? Yep...100% free beer, 100% of the time--day and night. Even if you have a coupon!Ashley said

The U-conn sandwich was loaded with lobster chunks-yummy and while the lobster salad was a bit mayonaisey, it was still one of the best salads I have ever eaten. It was creative and the dressing-a raspberry vinagrette-was awesome. Not a fancy place, just some tables, chairs and a lobster tank, but you are treated like visiting royalty. Truly a one of a kind restaurant that I will visit again and again.

When you're craving a lobster roll or lobster meal this is the place to go. Friendly service and great atmosphere. Very consistent with the quality of the food. We've been back many times because the lobstah rolls are so good!!

My husband and I took my parents to Monstah Lobstah on a Sunday night - my mom is a native New Englander, so she's a tough crowd when it comes to lobster. She loved it so much that she ate a second steamed lobster!!! I've been here three times now and every time I have not only enjoyed the food but the service and other customers are great too! It's such a friendly environment! Thanks for bringing a taste of my mom's home to Tampa!

The bathroom was amazingly clean. I was not expecting that! The food was really good. I like that everything was served on disposable stuff (sanitary, I like it).I say order the samplah, it's a lot of food and tasty too. I will definitely be back!

Me and my Daughter recently went to eat at Monstah Lobstah on a Friday, I was going to happy hour but instead ended up there. I said wow they even have free beer which was very cool because I enjoy a beer especially on a Friday during happy hour. I ate the 5lbs. lobster which was huge first time experience that I will never forget and my daughter had the snow crab legs, I told my daughter
that this is our new hangout and we will definitely be back for some more.

This truly is a laidback restaurant. There is no server, just the owner who does everything -takes your order, cooks it, delivers it, and he does all this while talking on the phone! He was friendly and clearly a great cook but don't expect excellent service. Also a lot of the prices and specials weren't listed- you have to ask. I was a little shocked at the market price of my large lobster sandwich- but I will say it had A LOT of lobster meat. I liked the chowder and my husband loved his traditional lobster sandwich. I wish they offered combos- your sandwich doesn't come with anything- drinks, sides, etc are all ala carte. We will be back but we will just have small lobster sandwiches next time- if you're not careful your bill will be $50+ (for sandwiches and sides!) Yikes. Also they certificate said free beer but I didn't see beer anywhere nor was it ever mentioned to us by the owner.
