Tucked away at the Ballast Point end of Bayshore Blvd is one of Tampa’s best honest-to-goodness food joints. Now in its 28th year, Chubby’s Super Subs & Pizza has become a treasured Tampa institution.

Chubby’s is a Tampa gateway to the hearty eatin’ of the northeast. From the house specialty Steak Bomb Cheesesteak to the handmade pizzas, pastas and subs, Chubby’s takes great pride in everything on its menu. Accordingly, it makes its pizza dough on site, the pasta and pizza sauces are recipes created from scratch in-house, the bread is baked daily, and all Chubby’s ingredients are bought fresh at a local farmers market.

You won’t hurt your wallet at Chubby’s – virtually everything on the menu is well under $10. However, if you’re worried that you’re hurting your waistline (and as the restaurant’s name implies, you are fed well at Chubby’s!) then fear not: Being situated on the end of Bayshore means you can enjoy a meandering stroll along the boulevard to burn off any excess calories when you’re done.
